David McGuinty, Member of Parliament for Ottawa South, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and the Honourable Bob Chiarelli, Ontario Minister of Infrastructure were in Ottawa today to announce funding for the expansion of Highway 417.
Canadians will be better equipped for the well-paying middle-class jobs of today and tomorrow as a result of a $ 57.9 million investment in the University of Ottawa. This joint federal-provincial investment was announced today by David McGuinty, Member of Parliament for Ottawa South, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and by Nathalie Des Rosiers, Member of Provincial Parliament for Ottawa-Vanier.
More than 60 people gathered for the ground-breaking for the $115-million STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) complex, including area MP David McGuinty, a uOttawa grad, and rookie Ottawa-Vanier MPP and former uOttawa law dean Nathalie Des Rosiers.
